I found this really great online place where they sell organic vegetables. Purple Corn Pops is one of their main sold products.
What are Purple Corn Pops?
Purple corn variety is grown here in the Philippines organically by Homegrown Organics. You can visit their Facebook page here. They are like the regular corn but the color is different. This is violet or purple. The texture is a little sticky and the taste is flavorful. I love it as much as the native white corn and the golden japanese sweet corn.
The purple corn pops are corn sliced into pieces with popsicle stick stuck at the bottom so you can easily hold it and eat it. You can order any organic vegetables online from Homegrown Organics. They have same day delivery too in Metro Manila, which, I think, is really convenient. I think i will order all my carrots, lettuce, and broccoli there.
Here’s the purple corn pop bento box idea for today. Fish is the theme for the day.
What’s in the Bento Box?
What I used for today’s bento:
- 3/4 cup rice
- A slice of purple corn pop for the fish body
- 1 1/2 slices of cooked sweet ham for the tail and fins, and a very thin, long slice of ham for the mouth
- Eye candy for the eyes
- Chuppa Chups Sour Gecko Jelly Candies
- Monde Mamon
- 2 pieces Scotts Jelly Vitamin C (somewhere there with the geckos)
